St. Luke’s.San Lucas Episcopal Church             

St. Luke’s- San Lucas is a mission church in our deanery. Epiphany became involved at SL-SL when we sponsored a week of the  BSAFE program there and in September 2009 we joined a group of churches that prepare and serve meals every Saturday.

 

St Lukes Soup Kitchen

Epiphany now serves on the third Saturday of every month and SL- SL receives donations from the Giving Tree to support their “Community Kitchen” feeding program.  To join our group and serve breakfast and/or lunch to over 60 Chelsea residents contact Claudia Bell or Susan Malloy.  Click here to volunteer for either the 8-10:30 am or the 10:30-1 pm shift. 

 

St Luke's Food Pantry

St Luke's works with the Greater Boston Food Bank to receive food for their pantry every week.  Father Edgar's program provides groceries for all 3 meals a day to over 100 families per week. The Parish of the Epiphany helps to unload the truck of food, shelve it in the pantry and bag a variety of nutritious items for these families. Epiphany volunteers carpool out to St. Luke's, just 20 minutes from Winchester, each Friday morning to work from 9-11 am. To share in this fun ministry and to learn more about the food pantry contact Betsy Walsh. Click here to volunteer for a 2 hour shift.
