we worship: children's chapel

At Children’s Chapel our children become comfortable with prayer and prepare for participation in the “Big Church.” It’s a delightful setting for adults to observe and participate in.

Children’s Chapel is a Sunday service for four to eight year-olds.  It takes place in the Chapel of Praise beginning at 10:00 am. The Chapel of Praise is located between the church and Hadley Hall and can be reached through the entrance at the far side of the Cloister Garden. Children rejoin their parents in the church at the passing of The Peace.

The Children’s Chapel service mirrors the services in “Big Church” but is presented on a level children can understand and participate in.  Children participate in a processional, acting as acolytes and crucifers, and collecting the offering.  The service consists of interactive gospel lessons, group discussions of the text, hymns and prayer.
