Parish of the Epiphany's Parish Choir singing in the choir loftEvery Sunday through Labor Day weekend, the Summer Choir will assist in leading the music at our 10:00 am services, and we would like to invite anyone interested to join in. No commitment needed — simply be in the choir loft at 9:00 am on any Sunday you choose, and we will prepare the music for that day. Make it a family event if you like; anyone entering second grade or older is invited to sing. The summer choir will not vest or process. This is your chance to give choir a try in a more relaxed setting! If you have questions, please contact Jeremy Bruns in the music office

Black-and-white photo of first eleven women ordained in the Episcopal Church in 1974On July 29, 1974, at the Church of the Advocate in Philadelphia, 11 women were ordained to the Sacred Order of Priests—the first women to be ordained priests in The Episcopal Church. This month, the church is giving thanks for the 50th anniversary of that historic event as we commemorate it on Sunday, July 28 in our 8:00 am and 10:00 am worship with particular scripture readings, music, and prayers.

Poverty by America book cover and author photo of Matthew DesmondThis summer, join Journey to Justice (J2J) as we read Matthew Desmond's Poverty, by America, a powerful book which challenges the way we understand poverty and offers ways to work towards a more just society. We will be meeting on Monday, July 29 and Monday, August 26 at 7:00 pm. Both sessions will be hybrid (in person at Epiphany or via Zoom). Sign up to receive meeting reminders and Zoom links. Even if you aren't available to join us for the book study, we still encourage you to read the book this summer to be a part of our conversations this next program year! For questions, please contact Rev. Janelle.

Parish of the Epiphany volunteers at The Dwelling Place Soup Kitchen in Woburn, MA in June 2024On August 24, Epiphany will be serving at The Dwelling Place, a soup kitchen in Woburn open three nights a week serving hot meals to anyone who needs it. This is a great opportunity to be in solidarity with our neighbors and to address food insecurity. Volunteers are needed for a cook day in the Epiphany kitchen on Friday, August 23 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm to prepare 40-45 meals. We will also need volunteers on site at The Dwelling Place on Saturday, August 24 from 4:00 – 6:15 pm to reheat food, put it in to-go containers, and distribute food to guests (children are welcome to serve with their families!). Interested in serving? Click to sign up! Contact Rev. Janelle with questions.
