“For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.” 1 Corinthians 11:26
Our Communion Enrichment program is designed to help children better understand the sacraments of Holy Eucharist, Baptism, and Reconciliation. Children typically take part in this program when in second grade, although older children are welcomed as well. Children and parents participate in a four-week class during Lent to help us understand our identity as baptized Christians and our responsibility to live into a healthy relationship with God and one another.
The children participate in four Sunday-morning classes and a Saturday retreat which culminates in a renewal of baptismal vows and each child receiving a bible. Children and their families celebrate Holy Eucharist with the congregation at the 10:00 am service on Communion Enrichment Sunday, and the congregation celebrates together.
